Indian Ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal announced new procedures at UAE passport centres aimed at supporting vulnerable populations. People of Determination will now have dedicated counters and can walk in without appointments, skipping queues entirely.
The same priority treatment extends to senior citizens aged 60 and above, as well as parents of newborn babies. They also have no appointment requirement and will be served outside the standard queue system.
For Indian expats in the UAE, this change simplifies the process, especially when urgent passport issuance is needed for a newborn or elderly family members require assistance. Simply visit the centre at your convenience without navigating the appointment booking system.
Standard documentation requirements remain unchanged — only the entry procedure and queue process are different now.
