Our retelling · details in the original publication
Abu Dhabi is making trips cheaper for Indian visitors by covering entry visa fees. The Department of Culture and Tourism announced a programme running until October 31, 2026.
Travellers booking a return flight and a minimum three-night hotel stay through specific partners will not pay the standard Dh285 fee. The department covers this cost directly to support the tourism sector.
The initiative supports 20,000 visas, representing a total subsidy of Dh5.7 million. Independent applications are not eligible for this discount, as it is strictly for package deals.
If you are planning a visit from India, check with travel agents participating in the scheme. This reduces the upfront cost of a holiday in the emirate significantly.
