Applied in Dubai? Track it with GDRFA Dubai
If you applied to Dubai, track your visa application through General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai. Keep the reference you were given when the application was submitted — that is what the tracking screen asks for.

Already have a Dubai entry permit or residence visa? Check validity with GDRFA
If you already have an entry permit/residence visa in Dubai, check your visa validity through the website of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai.

Visa from another emirate? Check validity with ICP
Check visa validity (issuance and expiry dates): if you already have an entry permit/residence visa to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, check your visa validity on the website of Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security - ICP.

Read the issuance and expiry dates, then plan around them
The validity check returns the issuance and expiry dates of your entry permit or residence visa. Note the expiry date and work backwards from it, so renewal or exit arrangements are not left to the last days.
