Know who supplies your utilities
Within the emirate of Dubai, DEWA is the single authority responsible for supplying water and electricity to consumers. Whatever your neighbourhood, your electricity and water come through DEWA.

Understand how you are charged
DEWA publishes its rates as a slab tariff. Rather than guessing what your usage will cost, use DEWA's own tariff calculator to estimate charges. The current rates should be checked on the authority's website, since we never quote a figure we cannot confirm.

Read your bill
You can view your bill directly through DEWA to see your consumption and the amount due for the period. Check it regularly so nothing builds up unnoticed.

Pay your bill
Customers can pay DEWA bills using various payment channels, including the EasyPay service, which lets you make the payment easily. Choose whichever channel suits you and keep your account in good standing.

Utilities are handled by different authorities elsewhere: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA) in Sharjah; Taqa Distribution in Abu Dhabi; and Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE) in the Northern Emirates. If you live in Dubai, DEWA is the one that matters for your home.
