   Check that you qualify

   Two conditions are set out by the authority: he/she must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, and he/she must fulfil the prescribed financial guarantee. If your degree is an equivalent rather than a bachelor's, be ready to show how it maps.

   Choose the validity you want

   You can apply for a job-seeker visa with a validity of either 60, 90 or 120 days. Pick based on how long you realistically need to interview and receive an offer — the option you select is part of the application.

   Confirm the financial guarantee and fees

   The financial guarantee is prescribed by the authority, and the amount is not something we will quote here. Check the current figure and the application fee directly on icp.gov.ae or gdrfad.gov.ae before you start, because these change.

   Apply through the official channel

   Submit the application yourself — there is no host or sponsor step, since the visa is granted without requiring a host/sponsor in the country. Prepare your degree document and passport in the format the portal asks for.

   Plan around the single trip

   The visa covers one trip. Book your travel so the job search sits inside that one entry rather than assuming you can leave and come back on the same permit.

   Move to a work permit once you're hired

   The jobseeker visa is for the search itself. When an employer makes you an offer, the status change to a work visa runs through your new company and the relevant authority — ask them to start it in good time.
