How to bid for government tenders in Dubai and the UAE

If your company wants to sell products or services to UAE federal or Dubai Government entities, you cannot simply send a quote. Public buying here runs through official procurement platforms, and the first move is always the same: register as a supplier. Once you are on the register, you can see tenders, submit bids, and offer what you sell through the government's electronic systems. Here is how the path works.

Procedure per Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism (dubaidet.gov.ae) / official UAE portal (u.ae). Fees and timelines change — check the authority's website. We don't invent numbers.

The steps, in order

  1. 1

Register in the Federal Supplier Register

For federal government work, registering your company in the Federal Supplier Register is the first step to working and contracting with UAE federal government entities. This is the advanced procurement system of the UAE Federal Government, and no bidding happens before you are on it.

  2. 2

Onboard onto the right procurement portal

New suppliers seeking to be onboarded onto government procurement platforms must first complete the registration process on the relevant procurement portals. Which portal you use depends on whether you are dealing with federal entities or with Dubai Government, so start from the correct one.

  3. 3

Register on iSupplier for Dubai Government work

iSupplier is the tendering system of Digital Dubai. It acts as the single online destination for all suppliers engaged for business with Dubai Government entities, so for Dubai contracts this is where you set up and manage your supplier profile.

  4. 4

    Get your registration approved

Registration is not the finish line — it needs approval. Once your registration is approved, you can submit technical and financial proposals, participate in tenders, and display your products and services in the electronic catalogue on the Digital Procurement Platform.

  5. 5

Participate in tenders and submit bids

After registering, suppliers can participate in tenders, submit bids, and access procurement opportunities from government entities. Registered suppliers can offer their products and services to federal entities and respond to the tenders that match what they provide.

  6. 6

    Stay eligible

Eligibility is a condition, not a one-time check. A business must not have been banned from participating in tenders conducted by any government department. Keep your record clean across all departments so you are not shut out of future opportunities.
