   Confirm your entity can monitor performance electronically

   Your entity must have an electronic mechanism to monitor the performance of an employee working remotely. Before you apply, make sure that system exists and covers your role — it's a condition, not a nice-to-have.

   Understand the time limit and how it stacks

   The duration of remote work from within the country must not exceed 30 days, whether consecutive or non-consecutive, during the year. Plan your remote days across the year with that cap in mind.

   Keep it separate from your leave

   You are not permitted to combine the remote work period with annual leave or unpaid leave. Treat remote work and your leave entitlements as two separate things when you plan your calendar.
